How is personal data processed?
1. Provision of the website and creation of log files
When you access our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our web server. This information is temporarily stored in so-called log files.

The following information is collected automatically and stored until automatic deletion:

- Name and URL of the retrieved file
- Website from which access occurs (referrer URL)

b. Purpose of processing
Cookies are used in part to make the use of our offer more pleasant for you. For example, we use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted when you leave our site.
c. Legal basis
Technically necessary cookies are processed pursuant to Article 6 (1)(e) GDPR in conjunction with § 3 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
d. Categories of recipients
Our website is hosted on a server operated by Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG.
The Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation has carefully selected Mittwald. The company is bound by the Foundation’s instructions and is subject to regular monitoring.
e. Storage period
Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG stores the data for the following periods:
- IP addresses are stored in anonymized form. IPv6 addresses are also anonymized. The anonymized IP addresses are kept for 60 days. Information about directory protection users is anonymized after one day.
- Error logs that record faulty page requests are deleted after 7 days. These contain the IP address and, depending on the error, the page that was accessed.
- FTP access data is anonymized and stored for 60 days.
2. Cookies
This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text packets that can be sent from a website to your browser, which stores them and sends them back when requested.
